I have just moved into a new house - which fence is mine?

Your fence will be either wholly owned by you or by your neighbour - in which case you will need to refer to your deeds which should show this or it will be a Party Fence - in which case it will be owned jointly with your neighbour - you will each own your ‘side’ of the fence. Traditionally, if the posts are on one side of the fence, this is the side which will own the fence.
